面试结束前,面试官总会问“Any questions?”(还有问题想问吗?),这句话不是随便问问,他想知道你对这份工作感兴趣的程度、是不是最佳人选。回答「没有问题」,只会显得不够在乎、或是没下功夫研究。好的提问让你有机会强调自己的优势,也帮助自己决定这份工作是否适合的关键。
面试中怎么问?依照这六个步骤:
1.想知道、还没谈到的问题
What is the single largest problem facing your staff?
面对员工,最大的问题是什么?
Do you offer continuing education and professional training?
公司提供进一步的教育或专业训练吗?
What are the performance expectations of this position over the first 12 months?
你们期望这个职位第一年达成什么样的成绩?
What are the most immediate projects that need to be addressed?
那些计划需要立即处理?
2.消除疑虑
找出对方期待的人才特质、经历,强调你是理想人选。
What types of skills is the team missing that you're looking to fill with a new hire?
你希望找到哪种专业的人才,可以补团队目前的不足?
Do you have any hesitation about my qualification?
你对我的资历有没有疑虑?
3. 找出地雷
先弄清楚公司文化、成长机会,可以避免不必要的惊喜。
Can you talk about the team I'll be working with?
可以谈谈会一起合作的团队吗?
Where is the last person who held this job moving on to?
前任负责人到哪儿了呢?
What are the career paths in this department/company?
在部门/公司的职业生涯规画会是什么样子?
4.长期计划
这是为了了解公司和你的价值观是否一致,同时,也展现你希望长期努力的决心。
What can you tell me about your new products or plans for growth?
可以谈谈你们的新产品或成长计划吗?
What are the company's goals for the next five to ten years?
公司未来五到十年的目标是什么?
Can you talk about the opportunities for advancement?
可否谈谈晋升的机会?
5.建立关系
试着问与面试官个人职涯相关的问题,拉近关系,但是请注意他的反应,问题也不要太过私人。合适的问题像:
How long have you been with the company?
你在这间公司多久了呢?
What's your favorite part about working here?
在这儿工作你最喜欢的一点是?
What did you do before this job?
在此之前你从事什么工作?
6.询问「下一步」收尾
收尾记得重申你对这个职位的热诚,然后确认下一步
What is the next step in the process?
下一步会是什么呢?
Is there anything else I can provide that would be helpful?
我还可以提供什么吗?
